Benefits:Since the water content of the material is entirely bound to the material via its OH groups, lenses show an extremely low rate of dehydration and very rapid re-hydration, making the material particularly suitable in areas where temperatures are extreme and where patients are subject to cool environments (Air-Conditioned).
